For a moment I thought about going to study an MFA in Germany. During that time, I started to explore the idea of ​​a series of works using lipsticks. That research took me from the cinema of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, and its connections between jealousy, domination and sexuality, to the social and political dimension of lipstick: a powerful form of protest originally used by white women and now reclaimed by historically marginalized groups.

This group of frantic texts and drawings, painted with a few stolen lipsticks, contemplate the shaky politics of current relationships and reclaim our right to intimacy with an absurdist tone.

Por un momento pensé irme a estudiar un MFA a Alemania. Durante ese tiempo, empecé a explorar la idea de una serie hecha con lápices de labio. Esa búsqueda me paseó entre el cine de Rainer Werner Fassbinder, y sus conexiones entre los celos, la dominación y la sexualidad, hasta la dimensión social y política del lápiz de labio: una forma de protesta poderosa utilizada originalmente por mujeres blancas y ahora reclamada por grupos históricamente marginalizados.

Este grupo de textos y dibujos apurados, pintados con varios lápices de labio robados, contemplan las complejas políticas de las relaciones actuales y reclaman nuestro derecho a la intimidad con un tono absurdo.
