“American societies manifest themselves in hybrid language, largely Spanglish. The work of Jaime Nuñez del Arco reflects this essentialist use of vocabulary of empowerment in his mural: “The value meal you are looking for is not a deal anymore, just like this pristine petroleum green wall. Un recuerdo”. The act of overwriting the former exhibition setting can be understood as a gesture against formalism as a category”.

“Las sociedades estadounidenses se manifiestan en un lenguaje híbrido, en gran parte Spanglish. La obra de Jaime Núñez del Arco refleja este uso esencialista del vocabulario de empoderamiento en su mural: “El combo económico que buscas ya no está en oferta, tal como esta prístina pared color verde petróleo. Un recuerdo”. El acto de escribir sobre el antiguo escenario expositivo puede entenderse como un gesto contra el formalismo como categoría”.
